This all feels super sad to me. Woman in a miserable marriage (staying why?) uses alcohol to try to escape her unhappiness. Daughter is in so much distress she stabs herself. Mother and father can only respond by thinking about themselves, and mother further escapes through an addictive sex encounter with another man. I am not judgmental here at all, it seems like all 3 of you are in a world of pain. I truly hope all 3 of you get the help you need to heal and learn to be present with your emotional experiences and therefore able to create a life with a deeper, more fulfilling intimacy and happiness.
