Unless we intentionally go “off the grid” for a bit, most of us have no idea how constantly inundated with stimulus we are. Our cell phones are with most of us in every room of the house in addition to everywhere we go, and are constantly pinging us with messages, emails, notifications, and tempting us with social media, news, and games. It’s rare that we have a moment of stillness before we unconsciously pick up that phone and use it in some way…
