Great exploration. I never exposed my kids to any fairy tales (or Disney) when they are little, I think they have terrible messages for children. But also, your piece points to problems not just with rigid stereotype gender roles, but also concepts of gender in general. We all need to protect and feel protected. To feel loved and cherished. Etc.
